Through our Dream Dog Program, you will learn our easy to follow, step-by-step program that will make that dream dog become a reality. From being able to confidently know that your dog will come when called, to having confidence knowing your dog will listen to you even in the most distracting environment.

In our Dream Dog Program, you will discover how to…
- Create a system of clear communication between you and your dog so that your dog will sit the first time, not the fifth!
- Utilize food to effectively teach behaviors... but you will also learn how to maintain those behaviors even when you don't have food!
- Teach your dogs to listen to your commands amongst the highest of distractions.
- Have your dog walk on a loose lead rather than drag you down the street!
- Break down complex behaviors into simpler, easier to understand steps for your dog to learn, that will make your behaviors more reliable!
- Methods for teaching your dog to learn to relax in your house and when guests come into your home, instead of jumping all over them!
Training is broken into 4 phases:
Phase 1: Private lessons; Discover how to teach foundation behaviors through positive reinforcement.
Phase 2: Teach your dog the “have to’s” through clear communication!
Phase 3: Group class instruction in addition to privates will help you learn how to apply the tools learned in phases 1&2 to begin to teach your dog clearly what you need from him under controlled distractions.
Phase 4: Group Field Trips; During the group trips, you will work with your dog to generalize the behaviors under higher distractions.

What is included for people local to the facility:
- 12 Private Lessons: 6 lessons to jumpstart phases 1 & 2 as quickly as possible with 4 remaining lessons used throughout the year to focus on your particular needs.
- Bi-Weekly Drop-In Classes: The opportunity to attend bi-weekly drop-in classes at the facility once Phase 3 is reached so that you can put to use the tools learned in phases 1 & 2, and gain significant impulse control. This is the opportunity to apply what you’ve learned in a group setting to practice with distractions.
- Monthly “Out and About” Group Field Trips: Once you enter phase 4. Here we get to work on generalizing behaviors out in the real world and I get to coach your handling while encountering more unpredictable situations, really helping you engrain your skills out in the real world.
- Online “Live” Group Coaching: Semi-monthly “live” classes where we have in-depth discussions on topics covered in phases 3 & 4 to help you by reviewing submitted videos for in-depth learning and assessing progress. This is a powerful way of learning as we often learn best when we can see something played back, allowing for deeper analysis. So often in person, we don’t realize some of what we are doing, and seeing it on video can be incredibly informative.
- Members Only/Private Facebook Community: Receive motivation, inspiration, and support from your peers, instructor, and special guest instructors.
- Online Course: Obedience 101 The Foundation: 12-month access to the online course and related resources (e.g. over 70 in-depth videos, PowerPoints,…) relating to the foundational concepts in training, from markers to variable rewards, to how to reliably extend behaviors and how to deal with distractions.
- Online Course: Obedience 201 Thoughtful Use of Pressure: 12-month access to the online course and over 25 in-depth videos/powerpoints/media (and adding more) which cover all the foundational topics regarding the types of pressure and pros and cons of each type.

What is included for online learners:
- 12 Private Lessons: 6 lessons to jumpstart phases 1 & 2 as quickly as possible with 4 remaining lessons used throughout the year to focus on your particular needs.
- Bi-Week Video Submission Feedback: The opportunity to submit videos & receive personalized feedback to advance your skills as you apply what you learn in phases 1-4.
- Online “Live” Group Coaching: Semi-monthly “live” classes where we have in-depth discussions on topics covered in phases 3 & 4 to help you craft your distraction training, as well as, review submitted videos for in-depth learning and assessing progress. This is a powerful way of learning as we often learn best when we can see something played back, allowing for deeper analysis. So often in person, we don’t realize some of what we are doing, and seeing it on video can be incredibly informative. While our in-person people may attend this, priority is given to the videos submitted by online curriculum participants.
- Obedience 101 The Foundation: 12-month access to the online course and related resources (e.g. over 70 in-depth videos, PowerPoints,…) relating to the foundational concepts in training, from markers to variable rewards, to how to reliably extend behaviors and how to deal with distractions.
- Obedience 201 Thoughtful Use of Pressure: 12-month access to the online course and over 25 in-depth videos/powerpoints/media (and adding more) which cover all the foundational topics regarding the types of pressure and pros and cons of each type.
- Members Only/Private Facebook Community: Receive motivation, inspiration, and support from your peers, instructor, and special guest instructors.
- Monthly “Out and About” Virtual Group Field Trip Challenges: Upon reaching Phase 4, you will now work on generalizing behaviors out in the real world. We will have monthly challenges for those in Phase 4 to increase your handling skills in out-of-the-normal situations to build your ability to work under high distractions. These challenges will parallel our in-person challenges and you will submit videos of your handling in these situations so that we can celebrate your strengths and identify opportunities for further growth.
